Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter #172 Scholarship

Applicants must be enrolled full-time or part-time at FSU, and meet the minimum GPA requirements as determined by FSU scholarship award guidelines. Recipient(s) must meet the following requirements: a) Resident of Allegany or Garrett (MD), or Mineral or Hampshire (WV), or Bedford or Somerset (PA) counties. b) Vietnam era veteran (January 1, 1959 to May 7, 1975), spouse, child (including adopted or stepchild), grandchild or descendant of such a veteran. DD-214 must be submitted with application. c) U.S. citizen/permanent resident. Preference will be given to renewal applicants. Note: In the event that no applicants meet the criteria specified in (b), veterans having served a minimum of six months active military duty in a branch of the United States military service, or their spouse, child (including adopted or stepchild), grandchild or descendant may be considered eligible.
