William M. and Verna (Miller) Ternent Endowed Scholarship

Applicants must be enrolled full-time at FSU. The recipient(s) must have an overall grade point average of at least 3.0 with a major in one of the following: early childhood/elementary education, elementary/middle education, recreation and parks management, and/or wildlife and fisheries. Preference will be given to students with an early childhood/elementary education major. The recipient(s) must be a graduate of and/or resident from the Mountain Ridge High School district. Priority will be given in the following order: a) residents of Lonaconing (21539 zip code); b) residents of George’s Creek (21521, 21542, 21562 zip codes); c) residents from the Mountain Ridge High School district not in a) or b). Preference will be given to applicants having demonstrated financial need. The award may be renewed up to four consecutive years as long as all criteria has been met.
