Donald P. Hutchinson Endowed Scholarship

Applicants must be enrolled full-time at FSU in the Department of Educational Professions. The recipient(s) must have an overall grade point average of at least 3.0. Applicants must submit a 500-word essay on a topic specified by the Department of Educational Professions. Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to teach a minimum of two years in the state of Maryland upon graduation from Frostburg State University. Preference will be given to those students who demonstrate a commitment to teach in Western Maryland (Washington, Allegany, or Garrett County). Preference will be given in the following order of importance: a.) renewal applicants who maintain a grade point average of at least 3.0; b.) graduate of a high school in Washington, Allegany, or Garrett County (MD); c.) applicants with demonstrated financial need.
