McElfish Family Scholarship

Applicants must complete a current FAFSA form and submit it by published financial aid deadlines. Eligibility to receive this award will be determined by information submitted through FAFSA. Recipients will meet the following criteria: a) Does not qualify for Pell Grants; b) Income less than $70,000. Preference will be given to residents of Allegany and/or Garrett County in Maryland. First-time applicants must be enrolled full-time at FSU as an incoming freshman with an overall high school GPA of 3.5. The award may be renewed for three consecutive years as long as the student maintains a 3.0 overall GPA. Renewal applicants must complete the required scholarship application and FAFSA forms by established deadlines.
