McGowan-Davisson Scholarship

Recipients must be enrolled full-time at Frostburg State University. The recipient(s) must have an FSU overall grade point average of 3.0 or better or be an entering Freshmen or Transfer student with a 3.0. Recipient(s) must be a Tri-Towns Resident of Westernport, MD (zip code 21562); Luke, MD (zip code 21540); or Piedmont, WV (zip code 26750). If there are not enough eligible applicants from the Tri-Towns, then all graduates of Mountain Ridge High School (Frostburg, MD) may also be considered. Preference in order of importance: 1) Renewal applicant Tri-Towns Residents; 2) New applicant Tri-Towns Residents; 3) Renewal applicant Mountain Ridge graduates; 4) New applicant Mountain Ridge graduates. Awards may be received for a maximum of four consecutive years provided the student applies, is eligible, and there is money available after above preferences. In the event of equally qualified applicants, preference in order of importance: 1) applicants with demonstrated financial need; 2) applicants with demonstrated academic ability.
