Constance Spates Scholarship

Applicants must be enrolled (full-time or part-time) at FSU with a declared major in Nursing or other programs as developed by the University for similar studies in the future. Applicants must be a RN, or dual enrolled student pursuing nursing licensure, currently living or employed in Allegany or Garrett County, Maryland, or FSU’s contiguous counties (Bedford, Fulton, Franklin, and Somerset in Pennsylvania; Berkeley, Grant, Hampshire, Jefferson, Mineral, and Morgan in West Virginia). The recipient(s) must have an overall grade point average of at least 3.0 at the time of transfer. Financial needs cases will be given priority; however, final award will be based on evaluation of required essay. Essay should address applicant’s financial situation, professional goals and objectives, and details on why a career of nursing was chosen.
