Esther May Carter Education Scholarship

Applicants must be enrolled full-time at FSU with a major in Educational Professions. The recipient(s) must have an overall grade point average of at least 3.5. The recipient(s) will be a resident of contiguous counties as defined by Frostburg State University with preference given to residents of Allegany County (Maryland). In the spirit of the individual for whom this scholarship is named, Esther May Carter, applicants must provide a brief statement (less than 500 words) describing “How I plan to utilize a career in education to give back to the community.” Preference will be given to applicants having demonstrated financial need.
