Garden Club of Cumberland Scholarship
The recipient must be a full-time sophomore, junior or senior with a declared major in environmental science, earth sciences, biology or wildlife & fisheries or sustainable construction management. The applicants must demonstrate interest in the protection of the environment. A minimum FSU cumulative grade point average of 3.0 is required. Awards may be received for two consecutive years if an overall grade point average of 3.0 or better is maintained. The recipient must be willing to participate in activities and programs of the Garden Club. Preference will be given to a resident of the Cumberland, Maryland area (within a 60-mile radius). In the event of equally qualified applicants, a preference will be given to those with demonstrated academic ability.
