Virgil C. and Mildred A. Walters Presidential Merit Scholarship in Chemistry

Applicants must be enrolled full-time at FSU majoring in the Department of Chemistry. The recipient(s) must have an overall grade point average of at least 3.5. Incoming freshman applicants must demonstrate strong academic achievement in high school as evidenced by enrollment in college-level and/or Advanced Placement (AP) classes. Transfer students must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.5. Eligible applicants will be a resident of one of the following counties: Allegany or Garrett (MD); Mineral or Hampshire (WV); Somerset, Bedford or Westmoreland (PA). Preference will be given to applicants in the following order of importance: academic ability, demonstrated financial need.
