American Legion Patriotism Scholarship

Applicants must be enrolled as an undergraduate at FSU. The recipient(s) must have an overall grade point average of at least 2.7. The recipient(s) must have graduated from a high school in Allegany or Garrett County (MD). Applicants will qualify as any one or more of the following (DD-214 or copy of active-duty military service ID must be submitted with application for proof of eligibility.): a) Veteran; b) Spouse, child (including adopted or stepchild), grandchild, or descendant of a veteran; c) Currently serves or served in an honorable status for the United States armed forces and/or National Guard. Preference will be given in priority order to: a) renewal applicants through their senior year; b) a dependent or descendant of a member (living or deceased) in good standing of Farrady Post 24 American Legion; c) a dependent or descendant of a member (living or deceased) in good standing of the American Legion.
