Foundation for Frostburg Scholarship

Applicants must be enrolled full-time at FSU. Incoming freshmen are encouraged to apply. The recipient(s) must have an overall grade point average of at least 3.0. The donor prefers a B-average student and that GPA not be a weighted factor in selecting recipients for this award. The recipient must be a resident of the 21532 zip code and graduated from either Mountain Ridge High School or Bishop Walsh High School. Applicants must complete a brief essay (150-200 words) entitled “Why I Love My Hometown of Frostburg.” The award will be renewed automatically (without need of further essays) as long as the student remains enrolled full-time at FSU and maintains a minimum 3.0 GPA. The donor intends to fund up to four students (1-freshman, 1-sophomore, 1-junior, 1-senior) annually for four years beginning with their freshman year.
