LaVale Lions Club Scholarship

Applicants must be enrolled full-time or accepted for enrollment as an incoming transfer student. Applicants must provide a brief statement which demonstrates: a) a significant role in community service and evidence of intent to continue community service activities as a student at FSU; and b) a record of leadership activity and evidence of intent to continue engagement in leadership activities as a student at FSU. The recipient(s) must: a) possess an overall grade point average of at least 3.0, b) be a resident of Allegany County (Maryland), and c) have completed a minimum of 60 credits (junior status), OR earned an Associate Degree from Allegany College of Maryland, by the time the award is received. Preference may be given to applicants having demonstrated financial need. Previous recipients of this scholarship must apply annually and will be considered equally among all applicants.
