LaVale Lions Club Scholarship

Applicants must be enrolled full-time at FSU and a graduate of an Allegany or Garrett County high school (Maryland). Preference will be given to graduates of Northern Garrett (Accident), Southern Garrett (Oakland), and Mountain Ridge (Frostburg) high schools. The recipient(s) must have an overall grade point average of at least 3.5. Incoming freshman applicants must demonstrate strong academic achievement in high school as evidenced by enrollment in college-level and/or Advanced Placement (AP) classes. Transfer students must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.5. Preference will be given to applicants in the following order of importance: a) academic ability; b) demonstrated financial need. Need is determined by applicants’ completion of a current FAFSA form which must be submitted by published financial aid deadlines.
