Allegany Soil Conservation District Scholarship in Honor of Supervisors Who Have Served on the Allegany Soil Conservation District Board

Applicants must be enrolled full-time at FSU. The recipient will be enrolled in correlated coursework seeking a full-time career path and participating in extra-curricular activities (i.e. Sierra Club, campus-wide sustainability initiatives, etc.) and/or external professional development (i.e. internship) opportunities related to any one or more of the following: environmental science/preservation, sustainability, pollution reduction, and/or preservation of land and natural resources. Evidence to support this must be provided in the required essay. An overall grade point average of at least 3.0 is required. In the event of equally qualified applicants, preference will be given to the following in order of importance: 1) Allegany County (MD) residents; 2) environmental science/analysis majors; and 3) those having demonstrated financial need.
