A graduate of Frostburg State University, where she earned her degree in Computer Science, Valerie is an accomplished Technical Program Manager at Google with a deep commitment to expanding access to technology and education. Throughout her career, including her work in Quantum AI and systems engineering, she has championed initiatives that bridge the gap between technical innovation and global impact—most notably leading efforts to reimagine computer science education across Africa.
Valerie is a firm believer in the power of representation and academic excellence within the tech industry. To support the next generation of innovators, she established this scholarship. Through this gift, Valerie aims to empower students from underrepresented backgrounds to pursue their ambitions and lead the future of computing.
