Mr. Ralph E. Jordan '68 & Mrs. Charlotte C. Jordan '62

The Ralph and Charlotte Jordan Scholarship was established in 2006 as the Trident Health Resources Scholarship for students majoring in business and who participated in the Sloop Institute for Excellence in Leadership. Trident was founded by Jordan and became known as an international perfusion management services company. It also served as the platform for a series of several successful healthcare and bio tech companies.

Jordan was one of several alumni classmates and members of the TKE fraternity who partnered together to establish the Sloop Institute at FSU. Ralph, an Army Veteran, earned a degree in English with the GI Bill while Charlotte earned her teaching degree in education. They have a daughter and a son, one an attorney, the other a physician, and three very bright and beautiful granddaughters. Ralph received the Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award from the Alumni Association 2008 and was the College of Business 2005 Alumnus of the year. He served many years as a board member on the FSU Foundation Board of Directors and continues to contribute on the Advisory Council for the College of Business, Engineering, and Computational and Mathematical Sciences. Charlotte continues to be the Chief Domestic Operations Officer and has the final say in most things of importance.

Ralph and Charlotte chose to help students through scholarship aid because Charlotte thought they should, and it was a way of saying “thank you” to the college where they met and to the many wonderful memories and endearing lifetime friendships they made during their time at FSU.
