Thomas and Paula (Dixon) '67 Martinez

Thomas and Paula (Dixon) ’67 Martinez are establishing this scholarship with their family. They are committed to making a difference in education. Paula was the founder and first president of Theta Delta Pi sorority. After graduating from Frostburg State College, Paula taught in Garrett County and Annapolis before dedicating fifteen years to educating teachers at Wheaton College. Her love of education was passed to their daughter, Julie, who serves in leadership in a Title I school. The Martinez family sees education as a calling in which teachers can make a difference in students’ lives.
