L&L Family Foundation, Leslie Ludwig – Class of 1983

Race to the Finish
I graduated from Frostburg in 1983 with a Business major and an Accounting minor. I was on work study all four years and worked full time each summer and during winter break. I was fortunate to attend college when it was more affordable and because of this, combined with working, I was able to graduate clear of student loans. The landscape has changed and many students are now graduating with crushing levels of debt. I was made aware by the FSU Foundation that there are students who are in their later years in college who have financial situations that might prevent them from graduating. My family and I decided that we should try to assist these students who have invested in their future to help them make it “to the finish” and move on to a successful career.

Frostworld Exploration
Studying abroad provides students with a chance to get a look at the world through a different perspective . It also gives students a chance to develop confidence and self-reliance. Personally I have broaden my horizons by traveling to interesting places in the world and we want to help provide financial assistance so others may have this same opportunity.
