Captain Althea M. Krieger, RN, USAF

Mrs. Krieger served in the Army and Air Force from September 1941 until March 1951. She was stationed in New Guinea and Australia during World War II and stateside during the Korean Conflict. Before entering the service, she worked as a nurse in Appalachia for the National Youth Administration. She was a graduate of St. Vincent’s Hospital School of Nursing in New York.
