It was an honor for me and my sons to establish this scholarship to honor my wife, their mother and their grandmother. Both women graduated with degrees in English and taught in the Maryland public school system a generation apart. My brother and I were the first in our family to graduate from college. Because of the wonderful education we received from Frostburg, I wanted to establish this scholarship at my alma mater.
